Pectolite

Pectolite, Bergen Hill, Hudson County, New Jersey, USA. A magnificent specimen of pearly, fibrous pectolite, measuring 5.5 × 3.5 × 2.5 cm, a calcium and sodium hydroxysilicate. Specimens from this deposit are true classics; they originate from the excavation of several railway tunnels. It comes with a handwritten label from the Boubée collection, as well as an A.E. Foote label from Philadelphia stuck to the back of the pectolite.
