Seymchan, Russia. Pallasites are mixed meteorites, a mixture of metal, in fact a mixture of iron and nickel, and olivine, a silicate from the deep layers of a parent body. This is the core/silicate interface of an asteroid that travelled between Mars and Jupiter. A 6.85g specimen with translucent olivines in a 2.8x2x0.2cm rectangle. Excellent for use in jewellery.
